Find Sunscreen by Skin Type

There are so many sunscreens out there; different brands, different types and different sun protection. it can be confusing on which one you need to find, especially for your skin type. follow these tips to seeing what sunscreen will work best for you and your skin.

Instructions

Step 1: Choose Sunscreen by your skin type...

For Fair Skin:
This type of skin burns easily. you need sunscreens that provide an SPF of 30. a higher protection will provide more protection.

For Medium Skin:
This skin does not burn as easily. you can use a sunscreen that provides an SPF of 15 or higher.

For Dark Skin:
This skin can be damaged by over exposure in the sun even though freckles and wrinkles do not appear. you can use a sunscreen that provides an SPF of 8 or higher.

Step 4: Reapply sunscreen every 4 hours no matter what your skin type is. reapply everytime you get out of the water. try to wear hats and 100% UVA sunglasses.

Step 5: After sun exposure, cleanse the skin and apply moisturizer that contains vitamin E and aloe vera. to help soothe burned, tight or itchy skin, apply a layer of yogurt, noxema or aloe vera. this will cool and moisturize the skin.

When it comes to choosing a brand of sunscreen, expensive name brands may not protect your skin any better than a generic product could. But bear in mind that sunscreens have expiration dates, which should be heeded. If a sunscreen product has expired, the potency of the SPF is in question, which can result in unwanted sunburns and skin damage.
